Apparently you don't know shit about boxing. Just last year, Kirkland fought twice 2 weeks apart, not month, weeks apart. He fought a total of 5 times in 4 months last year. He was scheduled to fight Molina just 2 months(the same 2 months that you're bitching about right now) after he beat Angulo. It got postponed cuz' of Morales surgery.

So yes a Kirkland-Canelo fight can happen in May. It's not like they need to find an opponent ASAp for Canelo to sell the PPV. The PPV will sell regardless cuz' Floyd is headlining it. And, I have no doubt that Kirkland will signed for a fight against Canelo for May. However, I seriously doubt Canelo would sign to fight Kirkland or GBP making the fight.

the problem is with a fight of this magnitude Golden Boy is going to want to get the fight signed as soon as possible, not wait around till march and see what happens. No way it will be kirkland, just based on timing alone (they aren't going to wait till March, what happens if Kirkland loses or is badly cut/injured?? You think they'll have Molina?? no way. then they'll have to scramble to find someone).

You guys watch, it will be shane mosley. he's available, will take a very small purse and it's something team canelo/golden boy have been talking about as a possible opponent for some time now, plus he has name value.

What do you mean a fight of this magnitude? Floyd fight on May 5 is a fight of this magnitude not Canelo. Floyd alone will sell the PPV and Mexicans casual fans will buy it cuz' it will also have Canelo on it. Canelo would be the undercard. GBP wants to get the main event sign as soon as possible. Not the undercard.

I agree that it might be Mosley. But, that's because neither GBP nor Canelo have any real intentions in making that fight with Kirkland.
