There isn't a fighter in the sport who has fought tougher competition in the last 3 years than Froch. He has fought Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell, Kessler, Abraham, Johnson, and Ward with no soft touch in between any of them. If anyone deserved some time off or an easy fight it was Froch, and instead he gladly signs to fight Bute. He is what's right about boxing, and if more guys had his guts the sport would be in much better shape than it is.

I'm not sure why Ward agreed to even fight in this tourney, if he doesn't want to fight Bute. We all knew from day one that the Super6 winner was to challenge Bute.

Ward knows that he only looked good against Froch because Froch has slow feet. He knows he can't look anywhere near as good against Bute.

I suspect Ward'll sit tight for 6m then box a blown up welter or light middle. Probably a Hispanic boxer....... Yeah, we all know where this is going.

Excellent match-up. I'm surprised that Froch doesnt get homefield for the first fight though. He certainly deserved it.

also Bute sighed a three fight deal with Showtime and two of those fights will be with Froch I don't like it when networks give fighters deals like this because it takes a lot of money out of their budget let the Promotors put in the contracts and later determine if the network wants to buy the rematch.

Showtime can always skip if they want, they already skipped Mendy.
