I'm guessing this will be paired with Kessler vs Steiglitz on Showtime

so this means we have to wait AT LEAST a year before Ward vs Bute is even a possibility?

Ward and Froch have fought the BEAST in the division for the last 2 yrs....while Butthead was fighting cans in Canada

the Butthead way....let the beast fight each other in tough difficult fights....these beast will come outta the wars with scars and wounds....they won't be fresh as they were before....after the smoke clears, seek an immediate fight with the winner or loser of the last battle....with a stack of cans under your belt some will think you're worthy...smh...GTFOH....you're a punk!!!!!

I'm not sure why Ward agreed to even fight in this tourney, if he doesn't want to fight Bute. We all knew from day one that the Super6 winner was to challenge Bute.

Ward knows that he only looked good against Froch because Froch has slow feet. He knows he can't look anywhere near as good against Bute.

I suspect Ward'll sit tight for 6m then box a blown up welter or light middle. Probably a Hispanic boxer....... Yeah, we all know where this is going.

He (Ward) has CHOSEN to avoid the very person (Bute) he has supposedly been aiming for for the last 2 years.

so this tourney was all about Butthead or what?...this was like a sweepstakes to fight him?....GTFOH .....this tourney was to crown the BEST in the division...he chose to stay out of it and fight cans....he had so many chances to step up and enter but he didn't....he's a punk trying to take the EASY route....I don't respect him one bit...smh

It would be a possibility by the end of this year. Ward wasn't as interested in fighting Bute as he is in having a rematch with Kessler, and a fight with Martinez and JCC jr.
