    I prefer this fight to:

Mayweather v Khan (even before Peterson)
    Mayweather v Marquez II

Hell, I even think it'd be better than Mayweather v Cotto. I really rate Guerrero and he's only a couple of wins away from actually being deservedly in these sweepstates. He was intending to fight his next fight at 140 anyway, he was pretty big at lightweight so even with the move up, I don't think it'd be a hindrance on his performance. It'll be stylistically he'd get beat.

I'll still buy it because I'm a fan but this is the biggest risk he can take because if he dominates like he should everybody will say this was supposed to happen.
Fu(ken Idiot!!!!.....The irony that idiots like you then wonder and bit(ch on why nobody is fighting anybody meaningful all while supporting fighters into fighting nobodys.............

However i must lean towards this article as Floyd has been known to take 135lb fighters into welterweight.
Just like your god pac juice. Only 4 difference is pac got schooled while floyd did the schooling.

Thisfight won't happen, it will be cotto or pacjuiceman

Welterweight champion Floyd “Money” Mayweather 42-0, 26 knockouts, is close to an agreement to fight lightweight champion Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on May 5. A source with knowledge of the negotiation informed me that both parties are in the last stages of securing a deal that could be announced as early as this week.

A clash with Mayweather will be undoubtedly the biggest fight of Guerrero’s career. For months, the Gilroy, California native has told the boxing world that he will be the one to defeat the undefeated pound for pound king.

Guerrero says he knows Mayweather like the back of his hand, and that a fight between Floyd and Guerrero, a multilingual Mexican-American, will sell on Cinco de Mayo weekend in Las Vegas.

Mayweather’s advisor Leonard Ellerbe said their camp will announce Mayweather’s opponent this week and the signs are pointing towards Guerrero (28-1, 18 knockouts) getting the shot he desires.

Fight fans expected May 5 to be the day Mayweather and Pacquiao finally fight. But both parties have apparently failed to come to terms once again. As it stands now, Pacquiao is expected to fight in late May or early June leaving Mayweather without a dance partner for May 5.

The anticipated May 5th date was nearly derailed when a Las Vegas judge sentenced “Money May” to begin a 90 day jail term on January 6. On Friday, the judge postponed the ruling until June 1st allowing Mayweather to go through with the bout he announced nearly two months ago.

I hope not. I don't like this fight at all.I would rather see Alvarez before this.

If this fight is a C-, then Pac v Pete is a B.

Many people actually believe Peterson have a chance against Pacquiao, a good chance actually. Almost no one would give Guerrero a chance.
I have yet to see even one credible opinion that Peterson would beat Pacquiao.

Only way this makes sense is:

                    1. Guerrero will earn a fraction of what Canelo/Cotto would demand.

                    2. It's a tune-up for the Pac fight in Nov.

Either way Floyd will catch hell for this and the fight won't sell big. People will forget about it if he fights Pac next but LOL if he retires again.

I'm still hoping it's Cotto. It's not the fight of the century but it would be legit.

I'm not buying a Guerrero PPV, even as a Pac fan ive bought every Floyd PPV, but I won't for this one. The ghost hasn't had a big fight at 135 yet, come on.

This is not happening. Don't be so naive.

I'll happily bet 20billion e-points against anyone that wants it.
