I admit that Mesi is not the greatest. But if Wlad fought Mesi it wouldn't be close. He has just as much power as Peter and 5 times the skill.
Mesi hit as hard as Peter? Yea right. He may have "5 times the skill" that Peter has but Peter has 10 times the chin Mesi has. Mesi loses badly to everyone- WLAD KO in 2, PETER KO in 4, Toney lopsided UD, Rahman TKO in 5, Byrd lopsided UD, Maskaev late round TKO but this would be closer.

Not raggin on you, this is general and using your post as proof.... Do some people seem to forget that probabley the best HWT or 2nd behind Toney atm is Lamon Brewster? Everytime i see Opponent_001, could he win title? They mention how everyone would do against them but leave out brewster...oh well I agree with your list except, Brewster KO 1-2....Again was a general statment not directly singling you out

He was a good heavyweight, he would probably be pretty competitive in the division if he was here. I don't think he would have won the title though.

I only saw this guy's last couple of fights so maybe I haven't got a good view of it.

From what I could see, he was a pretty boy that could draw the crowds but no more than a third-tier boxer. I remember Audley Harrison watching his fight in a studio discussion and saying afterwards that he could probably beat both Mesi and Barrett but didn't want to take the risk (this shows how long ago this was) as it would put him in the top 20 of the world and he wasn't ready for that yet.

Even though I thought Audley was **** at the time (and don't think much more of him now) there wasn't a doubt in my mind that Audley of three, four years back could have taken them both out quite easily.

He had all the skill in the world. What he lacked was a CHIN. He's just like Wladimir in every way. That fight is 50/50

Wlad vs Mesi would have been an awesome fight.

                  hmm

I'll give him his due. Some people seem to irrationally hate on Mesi, but given the state of the division, Mesi definitely would be in the mix for a title right now. He could beat Byrd, who's ready for the taking. He could beat Rahman. He'd have a 50-50 shot with Ruiz and Brewster. Brewster would be tough to beat.

Jirov can **** up anyone when he hits them in the back of the head full force.

You think he was as skillful as Wlad? No way, but both hit hard and have suspect chins

Mesi was much better than his critics like to remember. He'd be 50-50 to beat Byrd or Ruiz in an honest fight, but likely the big boys would knock him down for the count. Whoever thinks Mesi could beat Peter has to be seriously disturbed or brain damaged. I doubt Peter would need more than a few rounds to dispose of Mesi.
