No one is underrating anything. You're just going off by reputation more than anything. Cotto hasn't proven anything recently. I'm sorry beating shot to pieces fighters like Mayorga and Margarito means nothing when matching him up against elite level fighters. But, whatever if you like the fight fine.

If it was HBO I could live with it. Knowing that they going to charge is 60 bucks makes it whack. But, whatever I don't care I won't pay for it. You will it just a matter of preference that's all.

It's not ridiculous at all. You act like that hasn't happen but whatever. And, it wouldn't even be Floyd paying the step aside money either. Macklin is promoted by Dibella he would easily work something out. If Floyd really wanted to fight Martinez that is.

the thing is when creating a bout. the venue is set, the network is set, the rules & regulations are set. the pay between both fighters is set. TRAINING is set. network pay, promoters pay, judges pay. set........so only paying 1 individual is ignorant thoughts. many people involved with that date would have to be payed step aside money.........not just macklin. also. most fighters won't even accept step aside money if they are training & prepared themselves for the task at hand.

I understand boxing is a business. Floyd is a brand, Cotto is a name fighter. So in a business sense is a fight that makes money. I get that

But, as a boxing fan that will be charge x amount of dollars to watch this. It's whack...

The only thing that makes Cotto a legit opponent right now is his name and reputation. But, in reality recently he hasn't done much. His last 2 fights were against shot to pieces fighters who were not even top 20 JMW let alone top 10 JMW in Mayorga and Margarito.

I'm happy for him that he beat Margarito, I know he wanted that win really bad. And, it was a redemption win. But, should that be enough to say he's a legit opponent for the likes of Floyd, Pac, and/or Martinez? I don't think so.

Maybe if he beat a Kirkland or a Berto-Ortiz winner or even a Bradley or hell even a Alvarez or JCC JR winner. You know someone in the top 10 of the division. Then I could be OK with such a match up. But, he hasn't done that in what will be 2 years.

I do agree the only good thing that can come out of it is that it will shut the Cotto fans up. But, the bad thing is that the extremist Floyd fans will act like it's a good win and be annoying about the outcome.

mayweather already beat ortiz..........berto is so overrated that it's a big fraud at this point. even mayorga is a better win then anything berto has done for the past 2 years.
