It just aint this star studded division that people make it out to be and Ward gets too much credit for winning a tournament without fighting his toughest challenge in the division which is Bute.
bute is the toughest challenge based on what?? who the hell has he beat?

Can a guy get a break throwing his name in the mix of other popular names? Just about everyone does it.Riding the wave of other names by calling them out to make fans believe it might happen one day.Ward has paid his dues.Has ran through many styles in the super six and did it in a schooling manner. He would destroy chavez even if he could mannage to drop weight. But it won't happen. The fight with chavez won't solidify him because HE IS ALREADY solidified and a P4P.Again he has paid his dues and I wouldn't care to see this fight as long as he doesn't sail away from the 168lbrs.Bute is the fight I want to see.His style is not like anyone's in the super six.Hard fast clocking hands with some foot work. However,Bute's been fighting lower grades and technically speaking the first Librado fight was a scam. And has shown some chinny traits.I'm sure as big as a draw Bute is in Canada if he was offered a Chavez fight he'd take it in a desperate heart beat.Top Rank is eyeing Bute for those that have forgotten.

I suppose this is a fair point. But at the same time you can't blame Ward for Bite not being in the tournament. I believe this fight will happen. I think Ward is catching to much flak considering his last fight was a month ago and he's currently injured.

noway this fake champion punk chavez fights a real fighter. arum is already setting up another martinez ducking to fight cheato at a catchweight if jr gets by rubio.there's some legit middleweights that chavez will duck too. taylor, pavlik, sturm, abraham.all 4 have been around.he can't beat none of them.

More than willing to fight the guy campaigning at 160? You gonna meet him at that weight Ward or are you going to make him move up to 168? Why not Bute? What's up with that?

Yea I dont get the Bute thing either man.

You gotta be nuts to rate Bute ahead of Froch or Kessler.

I seriously hope that Bute lands a big fight (most likely against one of the 2 guys mentioned above) so that he can effectively push for Ward..... because I am gonna make a killing on that fight.

I'm happy this happened lol, because a lot of ya'll give Sergio **** for wanting to fight JCC Jr. who is viewed as the easier fight. The fact is, he's a cash cow, and anybody who can get a piece of him, is going to try and do so. Ward would most likely embarrass him and get his biggest payday yet.

Pac, Floyd, Cotto, Canelo, and Chavez Jr. = the current Cash Cows of Boxing.

But so has Ward's. Kessler, Froch, Abraham and all those guys in the tournament weren't good fighters to me. 168 is a dead division outside of Bute and Ward and that's why they need to fight each other. I'm starting to take back some of the things I said about Bute too, because he has said he wants to fight Ward while Ward has said he doesn't want the fight.
Response to first bold print: Hilarious.

Response to second bold print: Kessler, who was favored to win the tournament, was dominated by Ward. Froch, who was considered a world-class fighter with an impressive resume, was dominated by Ward.

Andre Ward was the consensus 2011 fighter of the year. He's also a classy gentleman. To call him a "punk *****" is ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.
