My goodness, why are they even considering Canelo or Guerrero? These kind of rubbish fights are too easy for Mayweather, both are not yet ready & both will get KOd. Floyd should just fight Pacquiao, so the boxing world can move on.

Guerrero can outbox Floyd and Alvarez can break him down....he won't fight either guy. I he does fight Alvarez, he'll demand a catchweight....he would rather fight Alvarez because of the money aspect and the weight drain aspect, plus it is a ready-made excuse to not fight the better boxer in Guerrero.

Nobody in the world can outbox Floyd Mayweather within his weight limit. Guerrero would get picked apart.

Why is he even in the mix for this fight? Because he beat up Katsidis? A JMM Guerrero fight makes more sense.

If we HAVE to have something other than May/Pac I want Myweather/Bradley It'd be an ugly fight, but at least Bradley is young, cagey, and undefeated. Top Rank would never do it though because they're a bunch of scared *****es.

Assuming no Pacquiao... I ONLY want to see Cotto. I think he deserves it. If not, just go to jail Floyd. Its not worth fighting!!

And lo and behold... like I've been saying (along with GBP's match makers) since Floyd reserved Cinco De Mayo at the MGM 2 weeks before Pac-JMM III, he was always planning on fighting a Mexican from Golden Boy's stable from the get go.

What do you have to say about this?

                Yesterday:

                http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id...ons-next-fight

"I'm not married to May 5, so Manny could fight on another date in May," Arum said. "If Manny's opponent is Marquez, I'd be much more married to the date."

The reason is because Marquez is from Mexico and May 5 is the Mexican holiday of Cinco de Mayo, traditionally a day when major bouts involving Mexican fighters are held.
                Today:

Additionally, Arum said Pacquiao is still healing from a deep cut over one of his eyes that he sustained in the Marquez fight.

"I don't know that he's on schedule to start sparring until the beginning of April," Arum said. "That's one of the things we'll discuss. If it is early April, we'll have to have the fight in late May."

If this isn't a clear duck, then i don't know what is.

                    I find that doubtful.

I also find it doubtful that he has an opponent as we speak. I imagine he will sign to fight someone within the next week, whoever that may be.
this is america we're talking about. like the great million dollar man ted dibiase always said, "everybody's gotta price" hahaha.

I think I have to agree with the people who said Bradley deserves this shot more than anybody else besides Pacquiao. I honestly think I'd rather see Corley get back in there with Floyd than Canelo or Guerrero, which is kind of sad if you think about it.
