He's fought a lot of left overs in the sense of not fighting undefeated fighters. But he fought Shane Mosley 3 years after Cotto beat him, so...

Mayweather could offer Sergio 5 million while Floyd taking 30 million plus ALL PPV and Sergio would accept.

A Cotto fight gives Floyd a whole platform to drag out his dealings or non dealings with Arum.

Floyd didn't fight Cotto while they were both with Top Rank, then he can go into reasons why he wouldn't fight Arum guys plus how Arum wasn't really interested working with him merely using his name and now that Cotto was free from that the fight was easy to make.

Clears up quite a lot of talk that surrounds Floyd on the internet, right?

Then he can go into the whole Manny issue and that Bob is the issue, which should be an easy case to make.

I guess he can make the case with any guy, but with Cotto it carries more weight fighting a former Arum man that he was suppose to be affraid of~

Why would some of you immediately assume it was Cotto or Martinez?

Sergio has a fight with Macklin at MW on March 17th. Even if he KO'ed him with the first punch he threw in the opening seconds of the fight, he still wouldn't have enough time to prepare for a May fight. He'd only have a month and 1/2 to train, make weight, promote, hold press conferences, etc. That's out.

Cotto and Floyd are both 'free agents', so who would be the promoter of the fight? Neither guy has the staff or connections to put together a publicity tour or manage the day-to-day of a big fight promotion. If they both paid a fee to GBP that could possibly work, but I would assume GBP would want one of their contracted fighters in there with either guy for them to agree to such a deal, which leads to the obvious...

Floyd, as I've said all along, is going to fight a Mexican from GBP's stable. Either Canelo or Morales, with Guerrero being the dark horse. If I was betting, I'd say it'll be Canelo.

But funny that only a few hours after the court hearing, Floyd's people are talking about a fight announcement (not to mention the judge said the reason for the stay was Floyd's fight contract). Either they just pulled off the fastest negotiations in fight history or, more likely, they had someone lined up from the jump.

Martinez is fighting in March, won't happen, leaves Alvarez, Mayweather won't fight Pacquiao's left overs, can't see that happening with all the left over talk Mayweather gives about him.

That's his own fault. When your rival is in the same division as you and both of you are consistently fighting, of course you're going to face the same competition, but that doesn't equate into the next guy winning automatically because the rival already beat him. Otherwise, what's the point to watch Boxing?

Floyd is about making money first and foremost. Neither Sergio or Canelo have the star power in comparison to Cotto, I'd even put Canelo over Martinez based on the popularity level and fan base (and that only). But as it stands, Floyd wants the Pac fight and out of those 3, even me being a Cotto fan, that's the least riskiest fight for the money with the biggest name he can take before the fight with Pac.
