Barrera and Morales can't move?
Cotto can't move?
Shane ran for his life. What's the point in chasing someone running for their life and risking taking a big shot going in? He was smart strategically. It was a 12-0 whitewash literally. Shane looked like Lionel Ritchie after the fight.Comment

Wow...what a total hate. Opponents that don't move? Is this the reason why Floyd ducked Margarito and Cotto?Comment

It was not meant as an example of power or skill. It was in response to a poster that said he couldn't KO anybody. Its not really a good example though to show power or offensive skills.
People do underrate offense on here but thats also because we currently have better defensive boxers than offensive ones. If a Mike Tyson type comes along again and starts talking about offense and KO's, you can guarantee that people will be on here talking about how offense wins fights and is better.
When Mayweather said "Defense" he obviously didn't mean defense with no offense. He meant hit and not get hit. So again it's ****** to imply that Mayweather wins without offensive skills.
A fighter who can fight inside or out, on the front or backfoot has offensive skills no matter how you spin it.Last edited by joseph5620; 01-05-2012, 01:24 PM.Comment

What if a boxer has a great chin and has never touched the canvas? Does that mean all his opponents have bad offense because they could not KO him?
Does Shane Mosley have better offense then Pacquiao because his POWER led to a KO over Margarito?Comment

Floyd dismantled the guy who obliterated Margarito. And you cant ignore Bob Arum as a factor as to why those fights didn't happen. Margarito should not be mentioned as being on any elite welterweight's level because he's looked subpar in every big fight he's had since the handwrap scandal. Cotto would've been a good win for Floyd though and I believe that fight would have happened if Cotto had been a free agent or a goldenboy fighter.Comment

Okay so you are saying if a boxer's KO ratio is low then he has no power. The number of knockouts is a "testiment" (not a real word BTW) of a boxers power.
What you don't understand is "power" is subjective to the opponents chin. If you had a feather fisted boxer who knocks out a glass chinned guy one day, and the next he barely hurts an iron chinned fighter, Did his offense magically begin to suck? Even if he connected with the same amount of punches? Of course not. Using your logic Shane Mosley (and maybe Miguel Cotto) is the only guy Margarito ever fought that had a great offense. He is the only guy who scored a knock out. And as you said #'s don't lie. Pacquiao did not score a knock out over Margarito SO using your brilliant logic Shane Mosley has better offense then Pacquiao.
You are just name calling because you realize you dug a very deep hole. Enjoy your ban.
