Watching the fight live, after Mosley landed that punch I wasn't at all worried about Floyd getting stopped. It's weird, but I guess I'm that confident about his abilities, his survival instincts are top notch, loved how right after he was hurt he tied Mosley up and attacked the body. He seized full control of the fight seconds after Mosley landed that big shot, took over the last minute of the round.

Also, I thought Corley had him more hurt than Mosley, I saw more of a worried look in Floyd's face, but almost similar to the Mosley fight, Floyd actually took the round back. It's expected for people to go nuts after Floyd is hurt, when the guy is hardly touched. I thought Victor would hurt him at some point, that never happened though.

I was the exact same in attendance.

I was surronded by mainly Mosley fans and they truley went nut's when Shane landed that shot. Possibly the craziest I have seen fans go at a fight I've been at.

My freind turn to me with a scared as **** look on his face and was like "****, he's gonna get stopped!" I was just like "Don't worry, he'll re-group".

I literally was 100% sure he wouldn't get stopped or even dropped. Like you said, maybe I just had that much confidence in his ability, and against the opponent he was against. Kind of ignorant to look at it that way considering it's a fight and it's not impossible that Mayweather could be knocked out with a single shot but fans who have followed his entire career have become accustomed to him not being hit cleanly and hut and awful lot, and when he does he knows how to deal with it. Plus, I always know and and prepare that Mayweather is hittable and open to shot in the opening few rounds.

I'd be more shocked or worried if Shane were to hurt him like that in the 8th or something. That would be something that would shock or worry me.

This is what happens when you have a group of folks that look beyond what Floyd does in the ring and instead hate on the persona of Mayweather, and therefore look forward to him being punished for his "behavior." All some think about is how to praise anyone other than Mayweather for being great and how to tear him down for obviously being great. It’s a conundrum only a simple minded person would allow themselves to get caught up in.

I get the sense though that no matter how much I say that there's more to life than hating on Mayweather I'm going to get a less than serious responses.

In the bold, SAME man, SAME. My neighbors and brothers had that same worried look. I found that feeling to be weird, been a huge fan of Floyd for a very long time, haven't seen him that hurt since Corley, I still continue to ask myself...why wasn't I worried?

Still disagree with those who think Floyd almost got stopped

I agree that Floyd didn't almost get stopped but to say he came back and controlled the round is a bit inaccurate. He controlled like the last 45 seconds.

After the big right hand that started the whole thing Shane landed one of those chopping right hands on the top of the head that buckled Floyd so bad his knee almost touched the canvas. Those two punches were like 30 seconds apart and I think the second one hurt him more than the first one, caught him right on the temple and buzzed him real bad.

I agree with you that I still wasn't THAT concerned, but it was still pretty nuts to see Floyd in some trouble. I was watching it with a bunch of people all but 1 were casual fans and my one boy who is huge in to boxing thought the same thing as me..."he'll be fine". I have unwavering faith in Floyd to just find a way.

Mosley hadn't landed anything before that first right hand that deemed him in control of that round. And right after that second right hand, Mayweather was still walking him down and started landing shots himself. I knew Mayweather was taking complete control of the fight when he landed a flush left hook while he had Mosley backpedaling toward the end of the second.

Floyd likes to hug and wrestle when hes hurt then, shame Cortez wouldnt allow hatton to hug Floyd. Floyd was allowed to do anything with Hatton, hugged hatton as well.

Floyd was going to be the first boxer to get knocked out while still standing.

Not the round but the last minute, his dominance started after Mosley's second right hand connected.

I wasn't really worried when he got tagged by Mosley..but the thing is, I KNEW the fight would be one sided from that round on.
