It goes to what I've been saying for quite a while, if you're not on your knees declaring ultimate supremacy, if you have any criticisms, there rabid fans are not happy.Comment

I agree, Pirao.
Mike Tyson has always been fair in his comments about the Klitschkos.Comment

It really is sad, Tyson actually said something nice about the brothers and he STILL gets shat on by these idiot nut huggers.
They're as ignorant and annoying as the *******s. Maybe we should start referring to them as the Klitards?Last edited by ShoulderRoll; 01-04-2012, 03:17 PM.Comment

So, in your opinion, Buster Douglas outboxed prime Tyson and was on his way to winning a decision but that Tyson outboxes Vitali, who has never been outboxed I might add?Comment

Those who "bashed" Tyson because of his supposed "criticism" are not Klitschko fans. They are just trolls, provoking, by their disgraceful coments, negative emotions to the K brothers, declaratively associated with those trolls. So the real goal of those inadequate self-declared Klitschko fans is to provoke negative emotions among neutral readers and to channel them on Klitschko. I'd rather call them real K-haters.
And, as a brothers fan since their proffesional debute, I can say that Mike always positively responded about Klitschko. So there is nothing new in this interview and no double meaning at all. As for the entertaiment, you must understand that boxing is world-wide sport, not only American (it's English, actually
) and thanks to brothers it's become popular at least in Germany and in Ukraine. Many Europian boxers start to beleive in themselfs looking at Klitschko. Vitali's and Wlad's fights TV-translations attracts tens of millions TV viewers. So, maybe boxing declining in North America, but it's fluorish in Europe.
P.S.
Thanks to moderator for banning that troll.Comment

It is just easier to idealize the retired boxers, because reality will not be able to disillusion us. Moreover, memory is selective and we remember only good moments (Tyson's fans prefere to "forgot" about Douglas, as well as Ali's fans about Norton). The past is easier to idealize than the present, which is fresh in memory and constantly subject to inspection by reality with great risk of disappointment. And we don't want to be disappointed so seeks our "heroes" in the past.Comment
