I can tell you that Quartey is probably his best win. And that doesn't qualify for ATG status.

Ok, but where and when did I say that him beating Quartey is ATG status?

This is what you replied to me.................................

"The bottom line is that his best win is probably Ike Quartey. If that's ATG status, more power to you."

Thats what you said, in trying to make it seem like I had somehow made that comment or inferred that or something. Now Im simply asking you, where and when did I say that? Or did you just randomly make it up as if I said that?

        I give Oscar's resume an A.

Dude fought everybody in the ring and not in court, unlike other "P4P" fighters.

Fought the best all the way to the tail end of his career. They don't make em like that anymore.

George Chuvalo fought all the best too. But nobody calls him an ATG.

No, while I quoted you, I was speaking in general, particularly to people who pretend his losses should be counted as wins because his opponents were good. Which would make Zab Judah one hell of a fighter too. An ATG too. Unless you're not one of those people who believes he's an ATG, it applies to you.

              2008: Manny Pacquiao (47-3-2)- L RTD8

His wins over Whitaker and Chavez may be overrated, because they were past their primes. But, Oscar still had a ton of good wins, and some controversial L's.

              What do you think???
I hate ODh but you can't complain about his resume. I just wish he offered tito and floyd fair amounts so the rematches could take place.

You gave his resume an A and claimed "they don't make them like Oscar anymore".That speaks for itself.

Oscar was a good fighter, a first ballot HOF'er. If I had a vote for the HOF, he would get my vote. But, he is no ATG. He just not.

I don't care what grade you give Oscar, you can give him an A if you want. What I'm saying is that you better give Floyd, Pacquiao, Roy Jones, Holyfield, Hopkins, hell even Barrera and Morales, throw in JMM in there too a higher grade. Because, those fighters were greater than what Oscar was.

Oscar did an awesome job in fooling new boxing fans. Kind of like what Pac is doing now. Where you can look back at boxrec and see name after name after name. But, not taking into account is not who he fought but when he fought them.

De La Hoya IS an ATG, and this is coming from someone who rooted against him throughout his career.

He had wins over Molina, Hernandez, Gonzalez, Comancho, Whitaker, Chavez, Quartey, Gatti, Vargas, Campas, and Sturm. Yes, Whitaker and Chavez were not in their primes when Oscar fought them, but is that his fault??? I see tons of people giving Manny Pacquiao loads of credit for his wins over Erik Morales, Ricky Hatton, Miguel Cotto, and Antonio Margarito, even they they were not in their primes when Manny fought them, and were coming off losses.

Not to mention that 3 of his biggest L's were huge controversies (Trinidad and Mosley I & II), and Shane was proven to be on PED's the second fight, and suspected for the first fight.

Oscar is still an ATG, not the greatest of his era, not the greatest of all-time, but he's still an ATG fighter. His wins over Gernaro Hernandez, John John Molina, and Miguel Gonzalez are underrated wins. Comancho was probably his most overrated win, or one of the most. Hector hadn't lost in 3 years, but went down from 160 to 147 for his fight with Oscar.

Even with everything noted about Oscar, he was still an ATG in my book.
