Rubio has improved since he was defeated against Pavlik. After he beat Lemieux I heard an interview with him and he was talking about how he was a lot more focused now and how he was working harder to become a world champion. IMO he has a good chance of beating Chavez Jr since Jr has a terrible defense and Rubio hits very hard.

Oh and I don't know how Chavez Jr has proved to have a "good chin", I mean the guy has faced mostly bums and light punchers, and his hardest fight was against a feather fist Zbik who landed over 400 punches on Chavez Jr.

Ur right man, he hasn't faced anyone with extreme power and his defense isn't that great...but.. it actually gives us a lot of chances for us to see him taking shots and how he reacts. It's not like he's a great defensive fighter who is ALSO taking on feather fisted opponents, those guys are even harder to measure because they can make it all the way to top level without us ever see them get punched at all, whether it's by feather fisted guys or KO punchers.

In JR's case, all I really wanted to see out of him on his way up... was that he didnt cower away from contact and show signs of not really having a fighters mentality. i think he's doing fine with the chin so far, he doesn't cower away from contact, he usually reacts and fights right back. Rubio fight will be a good test of the chin

I do think that Jr has been improving alot and like experts say he is going to get better and more because the kid looks like he really loves the sport of boxing. I think that he will have a tough fight against "El Pinto" Rubio but will end up winning the fight clearly. I also think that there is much more Jr followers than the haters that post negative feedback on him.
