No!!! He pay out $750K to buy out his contract just like his contract stipulated.

It is always funny how they spin that~ like the 8 million to fight Margarito came with zero strings attached when Margarito was a nothing at that point. The only reason to offer 8 million is to sign Floyd back up, and with Top Rank and GBP in serious beef at that point it was one or the other.

Plus when Floyd bought out that contract it was to fight Oscar at the end of the year, it wasn't until after that Oscar was like I want to wait until May, then Floyd had to make a choice. Baldomir or Cinderella Man as he was getting called at that point who had sort of made a name for himself and was the champion with no strings or fight Margarito whom nobody cared about, for a strap with likely strings attached.

I will go back to what I said earlier in this thread sure it was a fight that could have happened but it is against a dime a dozen guy, just a fight that didn't happen~ No big deal~

Why is Pac considering to fight Peterson (untested at 147) and Cotto again instead of waiting to fight the winner of Ortiz -vs- Berto 2? If it's all about the benjamins wouldn't the winner of that fight make money then those two other considerations with Pac.

Because Berto-Ortiz 2 is Feb 11th, Paq wants to fight again in May, not likely that the winner of Berto-Ortiz will want to fight again three or even four months later. Its either that or Paq would have to wait until about July to fight.
