Simple question, did Pacquaio duck Victor Ortiz and Andre Berto in 2011?

Why is Pac considering to fight Peterson (untested at 147) and Cotto again instead of waiting to fight the winner of Ortiz -vs- Berto 2? If it's all about the benjamins wouldn't the winner of that fight make money then those two other considerations with Pac.

it's all about the benjamins, and all about the "in-house" event. . . peterson is a free agent, to my knowledge, so likely he would do the same thing arum did with marquez for the most recent pac fight. . .

no way, no how is pac fighting ANYBODY from golden boy. . . maybe somebody from dibella or shaw's stable if they bend over and take it up the tailpipe. . .

If the fights were on the table and more money was offered than the fights he ended up taking then yes he did. I dont think that was the case though so I voted no.

LOL it's the same thing people do when they say Floyd ducked Cheatto and Cotto. If you agree with that then this is the same thing. People say Floyd ducked plasterman for 8 mill but he turned around and got 20MIL for ODLH. People say he ducked Cotto but Cotto been running from Mayweather since they were at 140 with that cry about him being too green.

            Pac-Ortiz? Is this a joke?

Ortiz is tailor-made for Pac and would put the kid in a hospital. You guys saw what Maidana did to Ortiz, right? Ortiz coming forward like that against Manny's speed and offense would be a slaughter. Ortiz might get some good shots in, but Manny's got a pretty good chin and could take it.. just like he took Margaritos hard shots whilst simultaneously breaking his face.

I'd actually love a Pac-Ortiz fight because it'd be an action-packed affair even if it ends up in Ortiz getting his face broken.

You think the winner of Ortiz-Berto would make more money than a Cotto rematch? Maybe against Peterson sure, even though one needs to look that Peterson is a free agent, so the in house money will be there...But, Cotto? No way not even close.

And, I don't even want to see him fight Berto-Ortiz winner. What for? It's a waste, the time to fight Berto is gone. He should have fought him when he had the "0" and his title...Right now he has neither. And, Ortiz is whack ass mental midget, Pac already has one of those in his resume by the name of Clottey.

He didn't turn around and got 20mil fighting Oscar. He turned around payed 750K to not fight Marg then got 8mil to fight a lesser fighter.

He could have fought Marg for the 8mil who was the best WW at the time. Turn around pay those 750k and then fight Oscar for 20mil.

So yes he did duck Margarito.

Margarito, is that a serious question? Margarito at the time had arguably the best WW resume, and was arguably the best WW at that time. The same can't be said for Berto.
