It is always funny how they spin that~ like the 8 million to fight Margarito came with zero strings attached when Margarito was a nothing at that point. The only reason to offer 8 million is to sign Floyd back up, and with Top Rank and GBP in serious beef at that point it was one or the other.
Plus when Floyd bought out that contract it was to fight Oscar at the end of the year, it wasn't until after that Oscar was like I want to wait until May, then Floyd had to make a choice. Baldomir or Cinderella Man as he was getting called at that point who had sort of made a name for himself and was the champion with no strings or fight Margarito whom nobody cared about, for a strap with likely strings attached.
I will go back to what I said earlier in this thread sure it was a fight that could have happened but it is against a dime a dozen guy, just a fight that didn't happen~ No big deal~
