martinez is in a sorta catch 22 right now. obviously he's one of the p4p guys that everyone prefers to avoid. and his title was worthless anyway.
even if he joined a bigger promoter it would not help him at this stage, as he's very dangerous for his age, and nobody would risk their future cash cow against him.
however wbc is becoming a joke of a organization, tempted by money and easily twisted by promoters for their greedy goals.

DiBella offered Pirog fights with Ishe Smith and Peter Manfredo, so he could get on HBO and get some exposure. Pirog refused. he fought Maciel instead.
HBO didn't want Pirog because he's unknown to the HBO audience. Pirog only wants to fight in Russia because he makes more money there.

those are the facts

the WBO stripped Martinez less then a week after he won their belt at 160. they wanted to give it to Danny Jacobs but Pirog upset that.

Pirog needs to come back to the states, they should make a double header with Martinez vs Macklin and Pirog vs Murray or Zbik as the co-feature and then the winners fight each other.
