I don't know if ducked Soto. I think he ducked Guzman without a doubt though. Guzman was an undefeated title holder(it seems Pac don't like to face those) and challenge and wrote letters to fight Pac. Instead Pac fought an unnecessary rematch with Barrera. It was useless waste of time fight especially considering Barrera was coming off a lose.

Supposedly Pac was going to fight Soto in November of 2008, maybe Pac way of ducking a trilogy with JMM. But, luckily for Pac Floyd retired and Margarito beat Cotto which had Oscar picking Pac to fight. So therefor I can't say he ducked either one in 08'.

But, in 07' he for sure ducked Guzman, Soto I don't know.

This is prior to guzman beat soto obviously. So you tell me, the time frame that could have possibly made any sense for pac to fight soto was before he got whooped by guzman, so we'll say around the time pac fought solis. kirkland has been on hbo several times before canelo was and is a top 10 junior middleweight fighter and somebody who has fought better opposition than canelo and was being groomed as the next big american star before he got canned.
