          I agree with this answer.

Unless a miracle happens and he beats Pacquiao or actually regrows his set of balls at this point of his career and fights and beats Martinez at MW then we can talk.

Until then he's made it clear he much rather have the biggest paycheck than put a stamp on his legacy so I expect a fight with Chavez Jr.

i think cotto's a pretty easy HOFER. i dont vote guys in to the hall, but i like to think i have a pretty good idea what the boxing writers will be doing with their ballots.

he's had a good tenure compared to his peers
              a damn good one

they've got to let 3 boxers in every year

i dont think cotto deserves to get in straight away, but i cant see 3 guys getting in over him year after year after year.

he'll also get a good deal of sympathy for margarito's use of plaster.
coming up he was a very talented boxer

he fought margarito in his prime and after the fight he never hit that level again

He's already going to make it, anything else is moot.

If fighting a prime Margarito is all it takes to be in the HOF we might as well put Paul Williams and Kermit Cintron in there too.

Sebastian Lujuan and Hercules Keyvelos.....get ready to be inducted..
