    Gotta' go with this.

Other thing is Pavlik is now routinely called overrated on this site, so how good is Sergios win in retrospect? He didn't easily beat Pav. It was a fight.

Ok so Serge KO'd P-Dub. It's a great win and I rate Pav higher than most around here so I call that a big win as well. But aside from that, what?

I think there is a lot of residual sympathy for Sergio because he was robbed (and I don't throw that term around carelessly) of a pretty obvious victory over Cintron (that's a post-Plasterito Cintron, btw).

So, though I respect him as the legit champ at 160, I think he's overrated and don't see a respect deficit in evidence here.

Kinda like Haye against Wlad at times, except, you know, he threw punches back and won the fight.

What makes you think Jacobs is any better than ****? he was a Goldenboy hypejob that got exposed in the most brutal fashion & never beat anybody...

Barker wouldn't be ****** enough to do that and neither would any other boxer I have known/seen or am I reading wrong?

Not that I recall him in the pocket because of his amateur style though I know he has a dreadful inability to fight inside. Again he chose to fight at range & from what I remember Pirog was chasing him down, came in & parried his jab with his left (Jacobs still on the backfoot) he sent out a jab off the parry which lined Jacobs up into the right cross.

Maybe I am wrong, not seen the fight for some time but that is a very bad amateur trait.

I was responding to you about Pirog's hands down style, if a guy like Jacobs couldn't capitalize, I doubt the less gifted Barker does.

Are you seriously arguing that Jacobs is no better than Spada or Belghecham?

I am yeah, who has Jacobs ever beaten? Spada has a much better inside game, more experienced, higher ring I.Q & fought at a higher level.

He'd probably pick apart Belgecham but Spada likes stalks him and beats him to a pulp in the pocket.

baker didn't even beat belghecham. he got a draw at the absolute best. baker was gassed the last 6 rounds just like he was gassed against martinez. i don't see how he could beat top fighters with such terrible stamina.

As for the less gifted part didn't Barker spark out Jacobs in the AM's? and he's certainly adapted as a better pro & fought at a higher level.

Barker boxes his ears off, likely stops him late.

Is there a single U.K fighter you don't hate on? He beat Belgecham comfortably who only won a few of the latter rounds.

Alright, I see where you're coming from, good luck with your cause. I guess HBO, GBP, ESPN, Boxingscene were swindled, they know **** about boxing anyway.

yeah right he clearly lost the last 6 rounds because he did zippo and had no gas. you don't know what you are saying.

Try watching it without the b/s commentary.

''Omg belgacham is coming on strong'' = 5 punch combo, 3 missed, 1 taken on the gloves & another was a grazing shot.

Nothing said when Barker lands combo's & even rocks him though.

                      Barker smashed him to bits.
