Still think Khan deserves a rematch though, i don't think anyone can say Peterson convincingly won that fight. It was a close action packed fight and the fans would love to see it again, plus it would make sense financially for Peterson.

Whereas this fight a lot of people were split on the outcome and so were the judges.
Maidana had Khan out on his feet in the 10 round, he was chasing khan around the ring all night, after the fight Khan's face was a mess, not a mark on Maidana, the ref in that fight was all for Khan.

Dont kid yourself. Rios was gaunt at 135 and Peterson walks into Rios's power and heavier hands punch for punch. It would be a war and a 50/50 fight in the odds. Rios wouldn't have to chase Peterson.

If you're going to use that excuse then it's fair to say the ref in the Peterson fight was all for Peterson.

But i don't care about these ref debates really. The fact is Maidana couldn't end it, in fact he couldn't even drop Khan so saying he was out on his feet is a bit ridiculous. Khan outboxed him for the majority of the fight and clearly won. If anyone is to take the blame for Maidana not winning then it's Maidana because he waited too long he should have got to Khan sooner in the fight instead of waiting till the last few rounds. Also, you don't judge fights on how someones face looks after the fight.

Maybe. I'm not sure if rios will hit any harder than Ortiz did @ 140. The thing about Lamont is he can box and brawl well. He has shown that he can take a punch and make the right adjustments in a fight. If it becomes a brawl I would give rios the edge but he so easy to hit. If Peterson fights him smart he wins a easy decision. I also think lamonts body shots would ware rios down. Peterson isn't the biggest puncher but he digs those body shots as good as anyone can.

I agree lamont can outbox Rios. I imagine this fight being like Prescott/alvarado. But if it turns into an inside fight I give it to Rios. If Rios hurts lamont he has the killer instinct that ortiz lacked.

look @ brandons last 3 fights

                  Acosta

                  Antillon

                  Murray

how the **** is this proof that lamont would get ****ed up by RIOS? ortiz has much more power then a rios @ lightweight. in fact rios don't even have 1 punch knock out power (even at lightweight) he must wear you down. ortiz on the other hand have one punch knock out power. the reason why rios won't be able to come close of knocking out lamont because of heart, skills, & his head movement. lamont can slip shots for 12 rounds without stopping (especially brandons slow clubbing shots) brandon is VERY VERY slow compared to khan, he has power but no where near as much as ortiz, & he's SMALLER. it will be a pleasure & a break for lamont to fight someone as slow as rios........brandon would get shut out, outclassed. & beaten...........in fact i say it's a easy fight for lamont.
