It’s very evident that when you speak with newly-crowned WBA/IBF junior welterweight champion Lamont Peterson that he is still a man taking everything in stride.
Good interview, Peterson is a nice man. However I believe that he did get some help from the ref, although the fight did prove that Khan isn't as great as he was made out to be. I'm happy for peterson regardless & would welcome him & Rios trading shots. He wins BTW.

When you go to someone's home town you don't want to allow the fight to be close, and Amir made the fight close. I think anyone who has fought Amir Khan will agree with the point deductions, he is never warned for pushing the head down or pushing you off. The points deduction did cost Khan but I don't think the fight should be marred by that, you have to give Lamont Peterson credit
Hopefully if Peterson and Rios fight again, Rios won't stuff his face with enchiladas the night before to have a nearly 20 pound weight advantage
Ok that wasn't nice. But to me the weight advantage is what won Rios that fight, Peterson was doing well till he got caught. Can't blame Rios but still, huge advantage he had. Kind of reminds me of Cotto vs. Corley.

u gotta admire peterson for standing ground and not let money be a determining factor
peterson-rios would be spectacular, especially if they keep it on the inside
Sometimes not taking the payday, allows you to make many more paydays down the road.
I think it was smart on Peterson's people not to have him fight Khan in England. At the same time though, money is ALWAYS a motivating factor, especially when you get your first title.
