James Kirkland has more of a chance at becoming a star, even me as a hardcore fan I don't get excited for Ward fights. I haven't even watched most of his last ones live to be honest, already know he's going to win a boring uneventful decision.
hell of a fighter though, just guy has such a boring style to watch.Comment

I don't think Ward's boring. He's fast, he can be quite varied, he throws a decent number of punches with both hands. He's no Rocky but he's not Valuev either.
Those viewing figures are just sad. I'm sure it will have done OK on Sky in the UK. I think the biggest issue in the US is the heavyweight division. The smaller guys need the glamour division to be a proper standard bearer for the sport, and it isn't right now.Comment

Ward needs HBO....PERIOD. As for someone mentioning Brandon Rios got more views than Ward....if im not mistaken, he became pretty known in HBO 24/7 with Pac and Margs, especially with his antics making fun on Freddie.Comment

The casual fan just wants to see blood-and-guts wars every time. But if you are a true fan of the sport you can appreciate an Andre Ward or a Pernell Whitaker even though they are not knockout artists.Comment

Wards style is just too boring and frustrating to look at. Floyd, Whitaker, and Bradley are all fighter I enjoy watching. Ward however, I think he gets away with too much dirty stuff, and hugging that make his fights boring.Comment
