Floyd beat SSM and SSM only. Cotto could so easily be considered the no1 WW as well, as he did beat SSM as well. So what if Cotto lost one fight to Margarito are you going to hold that against Cotto forever?
Cotto lost to Margarito but that dont make him not the no1 WW. COtto became no1 WW when he beat SSM.

Pacs done more at WW and the only thing floyd has is a 154 win over DLH. Floyd cant live off of one fight at 154. He needs to campaign there

Everybody needs to realize what a coward maynever really is. Example of maynever's cowardliness willing and eager to fight a light weight (jmm) and have Marquez move up 2 weight class but scared to death to fight Martinez at 154 and move up 1 weight class. Maynever's not an example of an all-time great he is an example of an all-time coward and low risk taker .

Floyd has made his name by having an ability to win on points. Pac can win on points just like Floyd, but he can also take the decision out of the judges hands which Floyd wishes he could do. Floyd dont like starting fights knowing it will go 12 rounds as he dont get paid for overtime.
Floyd knows everytime he gets in the ring he has 12 rounds of dancing to do, unless the ref helps him out like Cortez did in the hatton fight, or unless he sucka punches them like he did against Ortiz.

Floyd has fought and beat more lineal and current champions than Pac, his reign of supremacy is twice as long as Pac's, and he's never lost. Floyd also dismantled and shut down the last known fighter (JMM) to give Pacquiao a lot problems (at WW) to say the least.

Cotto was NEVER the number 1 WW, even after beating Mosley. Magarito TKO'd Cotto to become the #1 WW and Shane KO'd Margarito to become the #1 WW, then Floyd beat Shane to become the #1 WW. If Cotto was indeed the number 1 WW when Pac fought him then he would have been the #1 WW in the division but Floyd has always been #1 at WW. Pac may have got the slot once but that's only because Floyd stayed away too long. Maybe if Cotto would have beaten Margarito the first time then he would have most likely been #1. Don't use your personal feelings to go against actual facts.

I have no idea why you Mayweather apologists, err I mean "fans", seem to think a title means much these day. You do realize with a little a bit of luck, just about anyone can hold a title at one time or another? I'm sure you guys just love using that argument, so you can say..."well Mayweather fought a title holder and Pac blah blah blah", in this day and age Clay Aiken might be able to get a title.
