Pacquiao's purse for the Marquez fight only 6 mil? According to this email it was.

The MGM grand holds half that and lmao at how you conviently used the 200k+ on the most expensive tickets
And lets not forget that they were giving away tickets for free (aka comps) basically begging people to watch the fight because no one wanted to pay for it even with crazy promotions like steve kim said
Meanwhile Pac and Marquez sold out with a month to go and had a bigger gate and better PPV #'s but I bet you know all about that huh lmaoComment

That's grossly inaccurate, top UFC fighters get paid well over 100K with bonuses, perks and sponsorships. But yes top boxers make a **** load more than top UFC fighters, bare in mind that MMA hasn't even been around that long.Comment

For last weeks UFC 140, popular UFC Champion Jon Jones got $215,000 ($70,000 to show, $70,000 win bonus, $75,000 Fight of the Night bonus)Comment

Thats cuz the place would've been half empty if he hadn't lmao
And what people don't realize is this is just what they report to the Commission, not the total guaranteed plus PPV
Floyd is a dumbass for having that 25 mill on a official document which means he has to report that full amount to the IRS and pay that full amount
Pac only put down 6 million but got guaranteed 25+ mill but he gets to be creative with that 19 million
Thats what happens when you have Arum and his *** buddies book keeping for you
And after a few years of sticking to your stance you concede to the drug testing demands and you're also prepared to take a lesser % of the purse (for the fans supposedly which is mind boggling when he refused the testing in 2009).
Coincidental? I'm skeptical.Last edited by Phil Ivey; 12-21-2011, 12:07 AM.Comment

It's not that inaccurate though. I am not an MMA hater, I will watch it sometimes. But they get around the same ball park as Vargas got that night. It's not totally off by 100's of thousands of dollars, we're talking about 10thou differences.Comment

Does he make more? Sure depending on the bonuses, PPV and sponsorship money but his base salary is still 70,000.Comment
