Is Ward scared to face Bute?

Pavlik turned the fight down and is probably shot. I don't want Bute or Ward to move up to Light Heavyweight until they've settled who's the best at 168. And Froch is probably better than Cloud, though obviously not better than Hopkins. And entertainment-wise, Bute-Froch is likely to be much better to watch than Bute-Hopkins.

But the point I'm making, is if Bute beats Cloud or Hopkins, there's no room for anyone to discredit Bute's resume.

I would say depending on how he beats Pavlik, some can still give Bute's resume a major boost.

But if he beats Froch, everyone is going to say Ward has been there and done that (rightfully so). Then were back to square A again regarding Bute's resume.

That's why I think Bute really needs to find a solid opponent that's not coming off a loss. Cloud would be perfect. No excuses or room to discredit Bute there.

What pisses me off about Froch is that he totally forgot to bring his Jab to Atlantic city.

Thats the one weapon he had over every supermiddleweight in the world and he is trying to be a damned defensive fighter. Froch is better than what he showed, he just did not execute his gameplan. He was fighting Wards fight, not his own.

I don't think Cloud is as credible an opponent as Froch is at all, and if Bute beats Froch more convincingly than Ward did, the demand for Ward to fight Bute will become irresistible.

And I think Pavlik lacks all credibility and in any case he has already turned the fight down.

Kessler has avoided him, and Ward is avoiding him now.

Bute tried to get in the Super Six but was turned down.

What effort did Bute really make for Showtime to turn him down-what a load of ****.Hell,he could have fought when Kessler pulled out-I am not buying that weak excuse.

Ward just got done with a 2 and a half year tourney 4 days ago and has a broken hand,yet he is avoiding Bute? GTFOH

Pavlik got beat by Matinez a few fights ago, not Pavlik's very last fight. I know Pavlik isn't close to what he use to be, which is why I said "Depending" on how Bute beats Pavlik. Pavlik has been out boxed, but never stopped. If Bute could do that convincingly who knows. I would have to see the fight to evaluate though.

Regarding Pac, I don't agree with his fights with Mosley or Margarito at all. I've voiced this plenty of times.

Not to mention he's an old man. They'll say "oh he only fights old men" then, on top of everything else.

Haters will always come up with some way of discrediting any win, but for any rational person, Froch is a great opponent for Bute right now.

Hopkins hasn't officially lost since the Calzaghe fight. Ask yourself, if Bute fought Hopkins next, is Hopkins coming off a loss?
