    beating benn at 160 doesn't mean that much. watson ko'd benn there as well. benn clearly beat eubank at 168 where both of them had most their success.

      Watson beat both Eubank and Benn.

      I'd say Eubank was already slipping in the second Benn fight

        no he wasn't slipping he was just never that good. in the period between the first and second benn fights eubank looked like crap against sherry and got a debatable decision, lost to watson in the first fight, got dominated in the second fight till the ko, lost to malinga who also beat both of them, got a debatable decision against thornton, lost against close, then lost against benn in the second fight. eubank was never some unbeatable force of nature. the same pattern continued after the second benn fight. eubank never had a period of dominance that could be considered "prime eubank"

          Well, most considered him to be slipping around that time. Were you alive in 1993? Not trying to be offensive or anything there so don't take it the wrong way.

          But I agree with you.

          I like Eubank and he was a good fighter when on form but he had a lot of questionable decisions and poor performances in and close to his prime.

                As Froch continues, I like his chances against Eubank and Benn more all the time. Benn was life and death in a great fight with Doug DeWitt for goodness sake. One thing he has on Eubank is that he seems to show up every time, win or lose. If a guy like Malinga (who was akward and tough and not as good as Froch) could give Benn and Eubank hell in their prime, I can see Froch fitting in just fine. Watson would probably be the worst style match for him because he was such a good boxer.

                  Both Steve Collins and Chris Eubank and said this week that they have absolutely no doubt Carl Froch would have a tough fight for all of them in that British SMW Era.

                    He's a tough fight for everyone and he's faced a range of styles. Ward is his only decisive loss, and it wasn't like Ward had an easy night. He had to dig a little late. Ward is just really good.

                    Froch is one of those great cases where the sum is WAY better than the parts. He's a fighter in the best, grimiest, yellowing newspaper page sense of the word.

                      Absolutely. He sure is an Enigma.

                      Mike Tyson said it best this week in his interview on Ringside;

                      "Carl Froch makes so many mistakes, he does so many things wrong. He looks so easy to beat.....But he's not!!"
