Alvarez-Kirkland is legit. If Alvarez were to win, no one would question whether or not he can beat top rated fighters, because Kirkland is in his prime, coming off a huge win, looking great with Wolfe. And, if Kirkland were to win, he'd win a title, beat a young up and coming guy, a top rated fighter at 154, and it would pave the way for bigger fights.

If the fight with Mosley does go down it isn't going to be on PPV. Canelo is not a big enough name in the US yet. He can have as many optional defenses as he wants until June 2012. Canelo already faced his mandatory, Chavez hasn't.
