Big Martinez fan here, but I'm getting tired of him right now. He is not Floyd or Pacman, those are the only two mega stars that can milk the pfp chains like no other.

At the very least Floyd has beaten the top fighters in his weightcass not named Pacman.........While Pacman milked it colder than I've ever seen & even got battered by a lightweight but still somehow is held on his overrated pedistal.

Sergio is already fighting bigger guys than him. Williams was a lot taller than him, Pavlik was taller and heavier, Barker was taller and heavier ... Now he's fighting Macklin who is the same height as he is but is naturally heavier so most likely on fight night Macklin is going to be heavier.

Now the TS doesn't knows anything about weight classes or body frames. Not because one boxer is able to move between categories means that all of them are able to do it. Now he thinks that he should fight Froch, Ward or Abraham. Well Abraham is going back to MW so maybe he could fight him. But about Froch and Ward, both guys are 6'1'' and 6'0'' respectively, and they both are 168 on the scales and 175+ on fight night, while Martinez rehydrates to around 165 on fight night.

Against Barker it was obvious that Martinez was a small guy for the division since Barker was almost 6'1'' and was a lot heavier than Martinez, being around 175 on fight night. Now he's calling Jr, a MW who is huge at 6' 0'' but weights 180 on fight night, but people still want him to fight "bigger guys" and keep saying that he's only calling "smaller guys" ... Floyd is 5' 8'' which may seem a little bit short, but he fought against Ortiz who is naturally a heavy guy and was around 165 on fight night so I still don't know why Floyd can't fight Martinez.

About Pac I agree that the weight and height difference may be too much, but people still want that fight because Pac already "won" a LMW title against Margarito and they say "well if he fought against Margarito who is about the same weight as Martinez, why can't he fight Sergio?" ... The answer is pretty obvious of course...

of course TS doesn't know anything. check out my post on top of the second page, i think i pretty much explained to him what's up. great post yourself (like always).
height has nothing to do with weight. montiel (122) and khurtsidze(160) are both 5'4. donaire(122) and pacquiao(147) are both 5'6. paul williams(154) and eddie chambers(208) are both 6'1. a fighter's own body frame and build is what determines what weight class they're best suited for.

Because that's where the money's at. He's calling out Julio Cesar Chavez too, who isn't exactly a little guy. It's nothing new. Hagler called out Leonard; Hopkins called out the welters as well.

Just like PAC. He finally fights a counter puncher and someone that can box and gets outclassed and outboard then given a gift dec. PAC won't ever fight a boxer/counter puncher ever again!

manny and floyd can fight jmm at ww where he's never fought and its cool..but Sergio trying to fight floyd and manny(at 154 or less at 154) who both held the wbc 154 title(the same title he held by the way) is a cowardly move??lmfao

Sergio is calling out the guys that bring the most money. Pacquiao, Mayweather and Cotto. Chavez too will bring in some good money.

But JMM was desperate to fight the bigger guys (although you can hardly call Pac a bigger guy, just because he is able to whoop bigger guys hardly means Pac is a big guy)

Why isnt Sergio desperate to fight bigger guys like JMM was? Even when JMM didnt do too well at 147, he still persevered and had another go at 147. Sergio would do well to have the same drive.
