I disagree, it's all hypothetical of course, but a prime Hopkins would have destroyed Froch, tbh I wouldnt be surprised if he beat him more convincingly now, Froch would not lat a glove on Hop, Ward was touched clean in pretty much every round. Most of the rounds were pretty competitive, even if Ward was winning them.

Hopkins fought and beat (some) p4p fighters, and even the ones he lost were fights that could have gone either way. Ward has yet to even fight one. It's premature. Let's see Ward in with Direll and Bute.

        any fights you recommend?
Hopkins versus Wendall Hall is also another good one.

Also check out Echols 2 (great finish), Lipsey (great finish), Mercundo (1 and 2), Robert Allen, Keith Holmes - all good fights.

The Lipsey KO is one of my faves:

To be fair to Ward, he's just etching into his prime, and is still improving.

I think if you were to judge them appropriately then take Hopkins and Ward after 25 fights a piece.

That isn't boxing what Ward does in there. It's a boxing/wrestling hybrid.

Prime Hopkins would brutalize guys by boxing and punching.

Prime Ward brutalizes fans with his display of who knows what.

Ward fights more like Bernard post-160 to me...and prime for prime they're built differently...

Bernard was more aggresive and loose when he was younger...prime Bernard might have stopped Froch or came pretty close...

Prime Hopkins beats Ward in every aspect of the fight and makes him quit in the late rounds...
