Is it crazy to think Andre Ward is the world's 2nd best fighter?

No he is not quite Roy Jones, Jr. Just yet and I can easily respect that fact but one thing is for sure, he is definitely on his way to becoming a #1 P4P great of this current generation of young boxers. I say just give him a couple more bouts with some notable opponents and then only time will tell. However, I did witness Andre Ward shutting out Carl Froch in the center of the ring, by out boxing and out jabbing him, while nullifying his own jab in the process, with quicker and more precise jabs and hand speed. This is what both frustrated and bewildered Froch, to the point of him winging wild flurries, in the hopes of landing something cleanly against him.Comment

I can't stand watching this dude fight with all that cheating - plus that S.O.G. (Sack Of Garbage) nonsense he pushes......but to me he is Pound 4 Pound Number 1 because he is doing what Floyd and Pac are NOT doing - fighting and beating the best in the division and fighting regularly.Comment

He wasn't campaigning at welterweight. Who the hell thought he was actually a welterweight after beating up on zombie Oscar? It was another division where he beat the best fighter there, which you won't even give him credit for ever doing. Pretty sure I saw you say he's never beaten the best fight in a division yesterday, when he's done it at least three times.Last edited by bojangles1987; 12-19-2011, 04:01 PM.Comment

I still give him credit for everything he did beforehand. It was only two years ago he was coming off stopping Cotto. He's still at least the third best fighter in the world in my eyes, what happened with Marquez was more about Marquez proving his greatness than anything to do with Pacquiao.Comment
