Is it crazy to think Andre Ward is the world's 2nd best fighter?

Not crazy at all Ward has the complete package. He beats anyone at 168 easy. A year or two down the line when Ward moves up to 175 I think a fight between him and Ismayl Sillakh (who with that amount of time's seasoning I think will be cracking p4p lists) would be an epic fight.

I think we are witnessing something very special with this kid. At least to me, he is a phenom, unlike any other fighter, I've ever seen box before. Additionally, a unique talent like him comes around only once in a lifetime. As I've stated in a previous thread, I believe that Andre Ward is this new generation of young boxers version of a young primed Roy Jones, Jr. In my opinion, he has the potential of even becoming better than a primed Roy Jones too, because of his keen versatility in the ring. He not only has the uncanny ability of out boxing his opponents from the inside but he also has this same uncanny ability of out boxing his opponents from the outside as well. Even Carl Froch can attest to this fact. To me, Ward is like a rare mix of a bruising Ricky Hatton while fighting in close and a young primed Roy Jones, Jr with the same hand to eye coordination and foot speed while fighting at a distance. This is what makes him so very difficult to defeat. Moreover, I don't recall ever saying this about another boxer before save for Roy Jones, Jr. However, I just don't see him losing to any of the current remaining opponents in and around his division anytime soon.

I don't want to hate on the kid because I am a fan, and I predicted that he would be a great fighter after Miranda, but...give me a break with this!! Some of the comparisons and opinions here are embarrassing! The new Roy?!! Come on man!! You guys are building this kid up to get knocked down.

Floyd has fought the best opposition available to him as of late. I disagree with you, Floyd is the man until proven otherwise. Floyd can't force Manny to fight him, I'd like to see Floyd fight Martinez. Ward has to put in much more work to approach what Floyd has done.

Looks pretty good, throw in Martinez and that's the top 4 in no particular order imo. However, I would like to see Donaire move up in weight.

I like ward too but youve lost your damn mind. Same Foot speed and hand/eye coordination as a prime roy?? Hell, no.

He hasn';t even proven to be the best SMW in the world and you're putting him in the same sentence in multi-weight division world champions?

                Wow. Just...WOW.

No offense but Ward proved he is the best SMW in the world. Bute is a very good fighter but he is in the pack with Kessler/Froch/Dirrell.

If you can't give Ward his credit dude then something is wrong.

He didn't prove a damn thing when the dirrell fight fell through ( gee I wonder why ) and the SS flat out ducked bute for 2 years yet they invite chumps like allan green and a 50 year old journey man.

Ward looked pretty handy last night, but it was against Froch who is arguably inferior to khan, battling it out to see who is the best of britain so put it into perspective. Nobody ever said the super middle was the strongest division in the world, and only if you could say for certain it was, could you then rate Ward so highly.
As many positives Froch has got, khan is the better boxer.
