Bute-Ward is a must for clear supremacy of 168.

Abraham has been in the tourney until now and probably isn't staying at 168, Dirrell injured, show me when any of those fights were a real possibility or being seriously discussed.

He tried to fight Steiglitz who outright refused, Pavlik turned down 1.3 million (which is what Martinez the MW champ has been making) and Kessler backed out and is trying to fight Steiglitz and find a easier route to a Ward/Froch rematch.
dude pascal wanted to meet bute at a catch weight. bute has fought at 175 over five times......bute REFUSED the pascal offer. kessler was low balled against bute........he was offered a ****ty deal. almost a deal that was laughable & it was as if bute said i don't seriously want the fight. cloud begged bute for a catchweight or a light heavyweight bout (where bute has fought before) but bute took on a bum. the thing is cloud & dirrells team will contact team bute & the challenge is IMMEDIATELY laughed at & ignored. bum after bum after bum.........

bute has done ****. he's been ko'd by a slow andrade & ran away from real challenges such as pascal.

Achievement-wise, Bute aint even on Ward's level.

Bute will fight when and where he is told, and he will smile happily, or forget it.

Bute is by far the bigger draw. If Ward doesn't want to travel to Canada, and Bute actually won't go to Oakland when it comes time to sign a contract, then it's merely a business decision between businessmen, not fighters.

You guys know boxing is a business, right? I'm willing to bet Froch would jump at the chance of fighting Bute in Canada, which would be a great fight.

LOL, he didn't even make any reference to making up rules or fighting in Canada.
Bute seems to be seeing things as they are.

He knows what I stated before the Super-6 even started.

That the Super-6 winner would be the best SMW in the world, he would be the man at 168, and he would hold all the cards when it came to negotiation.

The safer option had its price, because no way could Bute be rated ahead of the Super-6 winner when all of his viable opponents were tied up contractually for 2+ years.

Lowballed? A million+, and for a free shot at a belt? If Kessler was serious about the fight he'd have at least given a counter offer. But nope, fought Stigletz instead. Somehow people are cool with that

Understand that Bute is more POPULAR than Ward, makes more money than Ward, is a bigger name than Ward.

Bute has also been a champion since 2007. & has made much more defenses than Ward. That should also give him some negotiating leverage.
Get real dude, Bute has been sitting at home fighting bums whilst the best SMW's in the world have been going for it tooth-and-nail in a knockout competition.

Bute will fight when and where he is told, or his relevance can continue to slide because he continues to fight cabbies in Montreal.

Sitting back? Kinda hard to fight in the Super 6 when Bute didn't even get invited to participate.

It depends on the fighter. It is traditionally more difficult to establish an effective jab against a southpaw, some seem to have no problem but that will boil down to styles. Ward has a great skillset, and would likely try to make it an inside fight.

The Ward/Froch fight was better than I thought, but Bute/Ward could be UGLY.
