I firmly agree that Bute would KO Froch.

Understand that Froch has never fought a puncher on Bute's level. Also understand that Froch's chin and head is totally exposed. Coming off a loss, I feel if Froch fought Bute right now, there is a high probability that Bute would stop Carl Froch.

I also feel that Ward would totally lose his speed advantage VS Bute. If anything, Id say Bute is FASTER than Ward. Id also say Bute would box intelligently. It would be a much closer fight than Froch/Ward.

Bute has also been a champion since 2007. & has made much more defenses than Ward. That should also give him some negotiating leverage.

It's true that Bute doesn't have a great resume. But what he does have is far better speed, power, and defense than Froch, and he's a southpaw to boot. Ward's face was a little marked up, so he's not unhittable. I don't know how Bute would deal with the clinching though. Try to catch him coming in with an uppercut, I guess.

Ward's lack of power really might hurt him against Bute. He loses his speed advantage and his jab isn't going to be as effective against a southpaw. What a great fight that would be.

I think NYC is a great idea, so long as it's a full MSG. Failing that, do it in Montreal. I don't like Bute getting home advantage all the time but I really don't like top title fights not getting a decent crowd.

Ward is the champ. Bute is the one with something to prove. Ward isn't going into Bute's backyard and he shouldn't have to.
