I don't find Ward entertaining
Andre Ward is very boring

There's nothing boring about winning. He kind of reminds me of Hopkins and a little of a prime Ricky Hatton. He's not just beating peple he's bulling them around the ring. His style is so hard to beat because he doesn't let his opponent do ANYTHING, as soon as Froch tried to get his shots off Ward just tied him up and bullied him around the ring. Don't get me wrong I doubt I'd pay to watch many of his fights, and the thought of him fighting Hopkins does make me a little drowzy but as boxing fan I can't help but admire his ability to get his opponent into his kind of fight, I don't actually think he's as fast as he's being made out to be its just he always seems one step ahead of his opponent, his ring IQ is as good as anyone in the sport. The real test for Ward will be when he moves up in weight, and he's fighting guys who are as strong as he is and he can't bully like he can at 168.Comment

Ward was actually standing and trading with Froch at times in the fight or didn't people see that? I don't see how he's boring. My only criticism is the excessive clinching he uses as a tactic but the guy is clearly versatile and can box from a distance, something a fighter like Ricky Hatton couldn't do. And how does a guy with a 50% KO ratio have "ZERO" punching power? He visibly hurt Froch several times in their fight and we saw it in Froch's eyes. Carl could not get his punches off because he did not like what was coming back at him. It's that simple ladies and gentelman. Ward can punch, just because he is not knocking guys out with one shot does not mean the guy can not hurt his opponents.
Like Mayweather, Ward has enough power to keep his opponents off of him. He has the power that can make a guy think about his form of attack before actually attacking. If Ward simply put the punches together I am absolutely positive he'd have more KO's.Comment

This is not meant to knock Andre Ward, he has a very effective style.
Its just, lets be honest, this guy has ZERO punching power. Ward's entire game is 12round, holding, clinching, potshotting, and dirty infighting.
Thats this guy's whole style.
Any1 else find Ward's style to be very boring, and unentertaining?
Like Ward will never be popular because his fights are not fun. He is hands down the most boring fighter in boxing.
Even Mayweather's fights are more entertaining than Wards.
Could you imagine if ward fought all these boring ass fights like this on hbo? You know Merchant would call him out.Comment

Not really. The only fighters that bore me are guys that will pump 100 jabs a round and refuse to commit to anything else. Ward is much more than that. I love watching him infight. Dirty boxing on that level seems to be lost.Comment

I agree. I didn't see much to be bored with last night.
Andre Ward fought well and put a lot of leather on Froch.
He controlled the fight and got in a ton of clean shots.
I don't know what's so boring about that.Comment

Almost anyone that has participated in the sport of boxing can appreciate Ward's skill set, especially the elusivness displayed in the Froch fight. His style just isnt for the casual boxing fan, those that expect to see a fight simular to Berto / Ortiz everytime they watch boxing.
Ward will dominate for a long time if he can stay healthy.Comment
