Serious. That's like ordering sewage at a fine dining establishment. Look at all the other possibilities on the menu.
Froch-Kessler was a war. Froch-Bute would be a hell of a bridge to Ward-Bute...if Bute is tough enough to handle Froch for 12. Froch-Bute and Ward-Anthony Dirrell might be a strong move for the division. Also sets up Dre Day down the road somewhere now that Dirrell's head is all healed up.
I think Ward should fight Bute and when he wins, move up as nobody is left for him to beat at SMW. Winner of Froch Dirrell II has Kessler to become the SMW Champ assuming Ward moved up and out of the division.

Know what might be interesting? Andre-Glen Johnson. Johnson struggled with Bute but Dirrell's flight or fight response meter could go nuts against the old man.

There's too many really good fights to be made to be wasting time rematching fights that weren't good.

Dirrell has to prove himself but like him or not he has skills and IF he is fully recovered he deserves to get a rematch vs Froch. A tune up vs Johnson could be interesting, however Johnson is too big for the SMW's and looks drained to me.
At the end of the day, Ward should make himself available for Bute and then move up. Kessler, Froch and Dirrell can sort things out in the division then.
