Shieka, Brewer and Robin Reid were solid at best, IMO.Calzaghe's resume isn't on par with his peers (Hopkins, Toney, Jones, etc.) but I do think it gets underrated. Sheika and Brewer weren't worthless wins, they were pretty solid at that time. He beat (albeit controversially) a very formidable Robin Reid - a fighter I enjoyed very much during his brief reign. Lacy was completely overrated and Calzaghe did what he should - crapped on him. Kessler, a solid fellow champ. I'm missing a name or two but after that you and Iron are right, the rest are scraps. But that is more than enough to rate him above Wright.
The fact we have to use these 3 names to support his resume is just a testament to how weak his resume is.
I know you're no fan of Calzaghe and aren't trying to say he has an exceptional resume. But you're being a tad too nice

I think long forgotten is a slight stretch
He wasn't absolutely prime but he was certainly close to it.
I said his two top wins are debatabley better than Wright's two top wins.
After that? Not much.
Mullings, Mckart x2, washed up Trinidad, a few other decent-solid wins at best.
How about Calzaghe? Lacy, washed up Eubank, Robin Reid, Omar Shieka, and a few other decent-solid wins at best.
See what I'm trying to say?

So Mullings would be Wright's next best win? See what I'm saying? LOL. Look, Joe's resume isn't ATG. But Wright's resume isn't even rated G.I think long forgotten is a slight stretch

Probably.
What's Calzaghes? Jeff Lacy. Hardly any better.
I don't think Winky's resume is rated. Like I said in my first post I think he's argubally not a HOF'er.
I just don't think Calzaghe's resume blows his out the water. Which it hardly does, really.Comment
