If Jr does end up fighting Martinez, Jose stripping Martinez from his belt would be the best thing that ever happened to Martinez' career because it set up Martinez as Jr's mandatory. He would finally get his big fight. It's just too bad his big fight couldn't be against a top guy like Cotto.

This news sucks. Chavez ***** ass aint fighting Sergio. Watch Chavez fight some top rank stiff for another 160 lb or 168 lb title. Chavez v. Pavlik for the WBC title once Ward/froch gets elevated to super champion.

Loving this news, it's about time Chavez had to fight somebody with a pulse.

while thats a surefire loss for chavez I gotta say ...That roy jones style of fighting only works for a young fighter with all the reflexes on his side,that style for an aging figher like sergio will prove to be disastrous sooner or later.the biggest thing martinez has is punching power lots of it.
