Margs needs to let the eye heal a bit, maybe fight Yuri Foreman or Mayorga like Cotto did.. People dont realize that Margarito was coming off a long lay off and was still healing.. Cotto on the other hand has had some pretty easy fights after the brutal beat down by Pacquiao and was more active than Margs.. With that being said Cotto also had the perfect fight plan this time around, which was to move a lot more and target that injured eye.. All these Margs haters will praise him as a beast when he comes back and beats a few fighters and will even favor him over Cotto if Jotto wants a third fight.. I can bet all my points that Jotto will never give him a third fight becasue he will be ****t scared.. I will also agree that Jotto was getting tired at the end of the ninth round and was very releaved that they stopped the fight!!Oh and by the way I love the way Jotto was on his Bicycle for most of the fight against Margs, pinche Jotto miedoso!!!

Margarito had just come off 2 surgeries on that eye. If margarito takes a floydcation and doesnt fight until late 2012 -early 2013 he'll have a gatti-esque ressurgence to set up the rubbermatch late 2013 if the demand is still there.

If a third fight pops off, it'll be the same as the rematch, only going the full distance. Cotto just has too much skill for Tony and really, nothing Tony did seem to affect Cotto. Even the 9th, Cotto just outmuscled him and landed the harder and serious punches. If the fight had gone on, Tony could have gotten really hurt.

I think the rivalry is over. Cotto dominated him from post to post. In the third fight, I would suspect more body shots, ending it faster. But eff it, MSG was the best time I ever had in sporting event and I'd be down for another. These two will always entertain

Hell yes. Cotto was a bit nervous at first which was to be expected, but once he realized Marg had absolutely nothing for him he started bullying Marg and landing at will. He would do the exact same thing in a 3rd fight being confident in his abilities over Marg's plaster.

By the 7th rd of the first fight, Cotto had a broken nose and was out on his feet. In this fight, Margarit, thru 9rds fought tough but really didn't do half of the damage he did in the first fight. And his unches lack power too IMO. No need for a rematch. Cotto will just bust up his eye again. Tony might be done bro.

margarito took a dive thats why he didnt throw any punches. at time it was evident that he could easily overwhelm cotto from a distance like he did before. marg is in the best shape of his life

regardless of what anyone might think about margarito, everything else he brings to the table will always give cotto trouble. especially when cotto seems to forget how to throw a body punch once he gets warned by the ref.
