Classless Khan

khan is just an arrogant douchebag, i dont see how this is a surprise to anyone. he wont even give prescott any props and he knocked him clean out so why would he give peterson his props when he beat him?
bottom line is khan was lucky not to be DQ'ed. yes the pushing was the wrong reason to take the second point off but khan pulled out every damn foul in the book and fought dirty the entire 12 rounds so points should be taken away, for which foul doesnt really matter.
again hes lucky he wasnt DQ'ed, the ref did a good job and amir has nothing to complain about. its just that hes so used to the ref being on his side fighting for him so when hes in a fair fight he thinks the ref is against him even though he clearly wasnt.
constant holding, pushing away, pushing the head down, headlocks, turning his back, hitting after the break etc.. i can go on all day. amir was as dirty as any fighter i seen in recent years, anyone who thinks he shouldve gotten away with that is an idiot (khan included).Comment

U know what mate there's a lot of cracking posters like yourself telling me ive got it twisted so im gonna take another look at the fight, having only watched once half pissed and very tired. But im confident im right here, Khan should have turned his man, not allowed him to get that close in the first place or walked him back. The pushing down and away is a foul, more frowned upon than acted upon but Khan did it excessively and if the ref takes the stance that its NOT On - which he is entitled to then u have to adjust, Khan didnt and he was warned constantly.Surgeaon you my dude, but Khan got jobbed by the referee. Taking those 2 points was BS to the fullest!!. Im sorry, but the ref ****ed up. Peterson was leading with his head, and putting it on Khans chest, the only way to get him off is to push him off, thats not a ilegal move at al!Comment

People keep saying they've never seen points deducted from a fighter for pushing his opponent.
Yet not one of them can give you an example of a fighter who pushed his opponent off more often, and more blatantly, than Khan did last night.
The reason you don't see it happen is because nobody else does it that much.Comment

i dont get the ppl wo have issues with the fouls. pushing is a foul rite? he was warned, it wasnt as if the ref ignored it all fight. what u ppl dont get about boxing is that every ref is different. some emphasize some fouls while others emphasize others. the only blatant fouls out there are headbutting and low blowing. the others run the gamete depending on the ref. stop *****ing, the ref didnt do anything wrong. what khan did was a foul and he was warned multiple times and he got a false knockdown to boot. it all evens out. ppl are just looking for something to complain about. khan looked like an amateur last nite. accept it.Comment

Yes, it is.
If your opponent is in your chest throwing shots and you literally push them forcing them to take a few steps backward it is illegal. Point blank illegal.
And Khan did that atleast 15-20 times.
Martin Murray-Felix Sturm is another example of Murray illegally pushing. The difference is when he was warned a few times he stopped doing it. He didn't proceed to keep doing it for the rest of the fight.Comment

Khan won that fight and you know it.Well i just went right off of Amir Khan! He and Lamont Peterson put on one helluva show but while Lamont was classy in victory Khan was bitter and classless in defeat....
I personally scored the fight a draw but anyone could see it was a close fight and when its that close, in your opponents backyard, ur fighting off the backfoot and u have had 2 points deducted u cant complain with the decision. The point deductions were fair too, infact he's lucky he didnt get more as he constantly pushed Peterson down and/or away...
I was rooting for Amir but it was impossible not to be happy for Lamont - what a story and u could see it meant the world to him, Cong**** Lamont Peterson!
