Yes, a fight at 150 is ok with me. Anything below 150 Manny will beat him. Anything above 150 and Cotto can win. I doubt Manny will fight him at 150 and would ask for a fight at 147.

Are you ok with that if they rematch at 150?

      No flame, just curiosity.
I have the right to remain silent. Anything can and will be used against me in the future on boxingscene.

No, but seriously, I can't accept 150. And I never liked the 153 catchweight either for Margarito. I thought it was dumb as hell. I mean, if he wanted to drain Margarito, why didn't he just make him go down to 150? You're competing for the 154 title, so just fight at 154, taking away a pound you might as well take two or more off. That little pound came off as nitpicky. It's the equivalent of a fighter asking the other fighter to wear a specific color of shoes when he comes into the ring. Margarito is probably a more fit fighter than Cotto in between camps so I don't see how that was really going to drain him or give Cotto an advantage other than a mental one. All I can gather from that move was that Cotto wanted to show Antonio that he still called the shots, but it looked a bit nitpicky to me.

If there is a rematch, make it at the full 154. Pacquiao will have a chance to win a 154 title the real way, most likely beat Cotto up, and if he (Pacquiao) loses, Pacquiao can say that at least he tried to win it at the true limit. I don't see that happening, though. I can't see how they can make it significant for the media, though. After all, they fed the public that Pacquiao was gunning for an eighth division title in the junior middleweight class (154) at a limit of 150 (WHICH IS CLOSER TO 147 than 154) against an UNRANKED fighter at 154. The whole thing was preposterous.

And I know Cotto beating Margarito in the rematch wasn't really that significant in terms of the junior middleweight landscape, but it wasn't being hyped up as something it wasn't either. It was strictly a grudge rematch.

Have Pacquiao fight Cotto at a full 154 if it's to be made, otherwise Cotto best just fight Canelo, Angulo, Kirkland, or any other of the noteworthy talents at 154 like Erislandy Lara or Cornelius Bundrage. A lot of names in the 154 division...

BTW, sorry for my long-winded posts Fantastic, but I want you to know where I stand with this. If you have any questions or call me out on anything in my post, I'll be back to post!

I didn't think the catch weight was necessary.. and like some others have said, I didn't support it.

If Pacquiao asked for a catch weight, I wouldn't like it either.. but wouldn't be completely against it. I think Cotto makes a catch weight fine. He just doesn't like cutting much weight anymore.
He wasn't at all drained for their first fight.

Because he isn't as good as people think he is. Yeah styles make fights, but the first fight was moreso one guy being way ****ing better than the other guy, as well as a little bit of style mixed in (And Cotto didn't have a trainer for that fight)

With that said, Cotto isn't good enough to beat Pacquiao, he just isn't. He also isn't disciplined enough to stick to a gameplan, he always reverts back to his flat-footed, running away when **** doesn't go his way in a fight

No. Pac is a naturally smaller guy with a smaller frame. So two completely different scenarios.

To the ones saying they don't care for a rematch.............Pac looked normal and Cotto looked good in their last fight. Don't you think the public will buy into that? Considering Arum(as much as we hate him) is a genius.

for me, though i would prefer 154, 150 would be fine by me since its more likely to happen anyway.

i'm curious though. IF cotto agreed to fight manny again at 150 (and that's a big IF), would you be for it?

I think 150 is a better fighting weight for Cotto than the 152-153 he's been fighting his last few fights were he looks slower than usual. I don't think Cotto has a problem making 147 if he wanted to.

BTW people really underestimate the effects a good corner can have in a fight. Joe Santiago knows **** about boxing and even with him Cotto was able to box for stretches and looked good doing it. With better conditioning and an actual flight plan the rematch should be a very close match.
