Pirog is just another Euro bum, Martinez will gain nothing but more haters by beating him. Just like he got by beating Dzinzuruk, a fight fans were asking him to take, and HBO forced him to take. How many haters did he get after he blew out Williams and beat the brakes off of Pavlik? Lots of haters. Beating the less accomplished Pirog will not get him any new fans.

How about this, Barker vs Pirog? If Pirog can beat one of Martinez's "easy" leftovers, then maybe the fight can happen.

If you think Sergio is scared of Pirog, you are crazy. You honestly can't blame anyone for not fighting in Russia or Germany.......America is freaking bad enough when it comes to ripoffs and it pales in comparison to the other 2 I just mentioned.

Pirog never demanded Sergio come to Russia. I'm sure he'd love to fight Sergio in the US, for short money, but it takes 2 to tango. It's understandable, there's much better risk/reward fights out there for Sergio. Pirog can only increase the reward by staging the fight in Russia, but the risk goes up accordingly, unless you're dead sure Sergio KOs him.

But that Russia offer is more of PR stunt anyway, noone really expects Sergio to go over there. It's more of a comeback at LDB saying Pirog brings no money. Not bad at that, got a couple of trolls revving.

the floyd fight seems unlikely if cotto re-signs with top rank, I'm not sure top rank wants another cotto pacquiao fight, so this would be the next best thing. i don't see cotto winning, but I think it could be interesting at 154.

its better then a canelo or chavez fight right now.

he's doing a jermain taylor tour of fighting jmw and he's constantly calling out welterweight. and nobody is asking him to fight dzinzuruk as seen by the less than 1000 people watching his fight live

I dont get how Martinez is this brilliant boxer who outclasses Cotto and keeps him on the outside when Cotto's footwork and jab will sure as hell get him inside for sharper combo's. Martinez is too hittable. Cotto fights smart. He needs better pressure skills to break Cotto down and his boxing/defense is not going to keep Cotto off him all night. He not folding to no Martinez at 154. Not saying it would be easy though.

Cotto's style IMO can upset Martinez, Martinez is only better when fighting bigger guys and his defense is a C although his speed can offset it, Serge stamina is very questionable just like Cotto's. The only problem making this fight is the money it will generate, Martinez is not really a PPV material and the Argentinians are not too crazy about boxing.

Cotto can beat Sergio imo. Sergio can beat Cotto aswell. Would like to see it go down.
