Bob Arum dont and never did wanted to put Cotto in the ring with Mayeather. Cotto would get served.

Honestly I give cotto better chances at beating floyd than I give manny. Only way I like the chavez fight is 160, no catch weight, but definively same day weigh ins.

Karma is a *****..... Does anyone remembers when GDP was trying to negotiate a fight between May and Pac while ignoring Mosley. What did Bob do..... negotiate with Mosley directly.

I think this could be payback... GDP might negotiate with Cotto while Arum tries to push Pacman as the only option.

I want to see Martinez-Chavez jr next (to put the hype to bed at last) which isn't going to happen, so it'll be Martinez-Macklin I assume in March.

Cotto will be on a break until January which means he won't be fighting till about April or so even if they decide on an opponent in late January or February. This won't allow enough time to fight Martinez by March anyways.

Cotto-Chavez is the most likely fight but without a belt at stake the only selling point would be the revenge for Mexico.

Canelo-Chavez would be a tremendous fight and would sell great regardless of whether Chavez has a belt or not.

Do you seriously believe these two are even on the same league as cotto? Gimme a break lol. They would be a nice tune up fight while still fighting the top 10 154 ill give you that. Angulo is no more than a margarito clone but without the chin and shorter, and kirkland, his good but with that glass chin and those wide open swings... Both would gwt schooled and demolished.

it all depends on the WBC. if they are serious about stripping Chavez we'll get to see Cotto vs Martinez, if not it's Cotto vs Chavez
And when exactly would they fight that the winner would still have time to fight Mayweather on 5/5? Cotto's not fighting 'til June at least. It'll be at MSG, against a Top Rank guy and right before the Puertorican Day Parade.

Technically and Stylistically, both have no chance in my opinion.

Never forget December 3rd, 2011; the day Marga******s lost their mind. Your guy doesn't play fair and he sucks when he does. Go suck on Canelo's nuts for a while. He actually has talent.
