I have no doubt that this version of Chisora would batter Fury to a pulp

It was not worse than Lara-Williams, not even close to me, but Chisora absolutely earned that decision. Very fine line between a robbery and a hometown gift, I'd lean more towards hometown gift.

Chisora used a great gameplan, he came in in shape, and utilized a nice combo of body and head shots, crowding Helenius and making it hard for him to get his power shots off.

Chisora is not a "bum" -- he was depressed and uninspired when he fought Fury because Wlad had backed out of two fights with him and then chose to fight Haye.

I had Chisora up by a couple rounds against Helenius.

Ironically, the Chisora who showed up against Helenius would have given Wlad a lot more trouble than Haye did....

As for Helenius, not a great night out, but he'll be back. The people on here who write someone off after one mediocre fight make me laugh. Both Lennox Lewis and the K-Bros certainly had some very bad nights, and came back better than ever....

That's right: there is no arguing that. It doesn't apply to this fight at all.

This had very little to do with "size." Chisora simply had a better game plan and was in good enough shape to execute it for the entire fight. Helenius hurt his right hand and had an off night. It happens. Helenius also needs to get into better shape. He was visibly tired early in the fight from Chisora's assault.

I've been watching Chisora since he was an amateur. His performance against Helenius was not his best.

Someone like Helenius will always get outpointed by someone who moves and has good technique as long as they can stand up to the bigger man's jabs.

Helenius did nothing to win the fight. He won a few rounds mainly because of his size, but Chisora is the better boxer - it's absolutely as simple as that.

The fight is in the video lounge and probably still on YouTube if you haven't yet seen it. Go see it for yourself. (Whatever the decision, it was a very entertaining fight.) Say what you like about the fight being not quite a robbery, but, for example, the Sauerland commentators had Helenius 5-1 ahead after six rounds. That was absolutely impossible. Not 1% possible; not kinda understandable if you know what Helenius is trying to do or anything like that; just bull****. Chisora walked through most of the first six rounds as if Helenius was nothing.

I wanna see the final detailed scorecards.

Helenius is an average fighter at best. And that's giving him a lot of credit. He's slow, he's easy to hit, and has bad stamina. If he ever has any real success, it will be because of how bad his competition is.

I shudder to think of the beating either Klitschko would put on him.

Yes, it was a helluva fight. Very exciting, and better than anything on the MSG card the same day.

In the sixth round, both men were just trading big bombs in the middle of the ring. Amazing stuff!

Everyone is going to kick the guy now that he's had a mediocre outing, but I'm not swayed by that. He's only 27 and can still improve. But he does need to work on his conditioning. He's not in good enough shape. He could also use a better trainer than Ulli Wegner, but that's probably not going to happen...But I have no doubt Helenius will be back and look better than he did in this fight.

I'd like to see Wlad honor his previous commitment to fight Chisora, and forget about Mormeck.

Helenius came in the same shape he always does and there lies the problem. When his size couldn't wear his opponent down and allow him to take over he had no plan B.

I've said this for awhile now...these fighters like Helenius, Chisora etc., etc., being proposed as defenses for Wlad are just not ready. They need experience and 16 or 17 fights just isn't going to cut the mustard at the highest level.

I can't see how it was no worse than Lara-Williams, but it was only a "hometown gift"? Lara-Williams was a robbery, Lara clearly won, it is known to be the worst robbery this year, and even the worst in years. So if Helenius-Chisora was on par with Lara-Williams, then it was a robbery, not a hometown gift.
