I do not think Ortiz can take a punch like Margo. Its helps that his defense is a little better.

Cotto would probably enjoy fighting a guy his own size again.

    Foreman, Mayorga and Margo.

    Tall or big guys.
I hear you but like I said, this isn't a prime Cotto anymore and say what you will about Ortiz, the kid is explosive.

He's a lefty and that left comes FAST....plus when he gets on the inside, the right hook uppercut combo is murderous.

I think a prime Cotto beats him no doubt but this version of Cotto. Slower, less active Cotto who looks to throw punches in spots, can't keep up with Ortiz IMO.

Miguel wins this for me, he would outclass Ortiz, cotto is still elite. He is an all round fighter.

It is a fun fight, but even a slightly faded cotto takes Ortiz by tko, it is a good match up for cotto, Ortiz does not fight at an incredible pace, he is not more skilled then cotto either, maybe slightly faster, but cotto can deal with that. Ortiz has an average defence, and cotto is very accurate. Ortiz has a chance because he hits hard so he can change the fight with his power, but I think it is too small a chance.

Ortiz lacks the experience Cotto will bring him to deep waters and drown him. Cotto has more ways to win he can pressure or box Ortiz show weakness in both

Oritz isn't all together in the head. If he comes in sharp, which is a big if, I think he could UD Cotto or TKO him late. If he doesn't I see Cotto by a decision.

I think Cotto could keep Ortiz at bay with his jab.

            Ortiz lacks a effective jab.

            That could be the difference.

Could look a little like Cotto-Mosley.

              At 154, Cotto.

              EASY.

Once Cotto starts finding a home for his jab, Ortiz is gonna shut down.

Ortiz can slip a jab pretty well but he never step up to a good jabber like cotto

Do you think Ortiz hits harder than Mosley?

                      Mosley touched Cotto a lot.
