Is Miguel Cotto a Hall of Famer?

I think the general consensus here before was that he a borderline HOFer. Was this win enough to make him a sure thing?

I thought he was a HOF before this fight. If you look at the people who are in the HOF today, based on today's standards many of them shoudn't be there. I don't see based on Cotto's career so far how he wouldn't be included. It's one thing 1st ballot (which I doubt he'd get), but I have no doubt he'll be there when all is said and done. ****in Sylvester Stallone is in the God Damn HOF.

IMO no. But, I know many will disagree.

Not yet IMO. Beating a bum who got away with cheating for several years doesn't do it for me. But I definitely can see an argument for him since I believe that his only fair loss was to Manny, and that was at 145 not 147.

what do u mean at 145? i agree it was a legit loss, but i hope u realize that 141 to 147 is the welterweight division...

He's getting close. Not quite sure if he's there just yet. If he beats Chavez Jr and takes the fraudulent Middleweight Trinket (rightfully owned by Sergio) then the sappy writers will lock him in.

He's not in the HOF for being a fighter, he's in the 'Non Participant' wing of the HOF.

Completely different to being in there for being a fighter.

I don't think so yet.....maybe a couple more wins in a superfight like this.
