What's the big deal about Cinco De Mayo anyway. Why does Floyd want to fight EXACTLY on that day and no other?

How many stitches did Manny's cut need?? does anyone know??? Cut's do need alot of time time to heal properly, but unless it's horrendously bad 6 months should be enough. By horrendously bad, mean deep, in a bad spot and a jagged cut.

Let's not pretend like Manny wouldn't be fighting in May or June next year.....i think we all know why there's a bunch of excuses coming out of team MP. Last time this fight was in danger of happening we got a list of 25 excuses over a course of two years.

Some of you guys are purposedly blowing it out of proportions I swear! It's just a possibility that the fight might have to be moved to a later date, that's all. Nobody is ducking. Plus what's up with Floyd insisting on that date anyway.

I dont believe a word scumbag arum says. I'm still confident a May 5th date for a may-pac showdown is on. they're just tryin to rock the boat, and seemingly, it worked like a charm!

Bad cuts, one's that are likely to re-open if not allowed a long time to heal are generally deep and jagged, and hence the cutman has real problems getting it to stop bleeding during a fight. That's why i asked if anyone has details, because i seriously doubt a cut that Ariza stopped from bleeding for most of the fihgt after working on it for 30 seconds is bad enough to warrant greater than 7 months of healing time.....

Hmmm, I'm sorry but no. This is getting ****** now! I don't blame Manny by the way. It is just looking more and more like Arum is hiding Manny from Floyd, he wants to milk his cash cow a little more before putting him in a risky fight! Pathetic.

Absolutely nothing. They just want to be able to say Pac is ducking. That's more important to Floyd and his apologists than seeing the fight itself. That's why they're simple-minded. They're more into things outside the ring. They can't even wait to watch the first episode of 24/7 whenever Floyd fights.

I'm trying to stay optimistic that it will happen, but Bob is a typical old man, no patience and throws a temper tantrum like a child. Old people regress to children the older they get, and that's what Bob is, a spoiled rich kid used to getting what he wants. He should let Debouf handle everything.....at least he can be in the same ostcode as Al Haymon without melting down.

It's bad then, but i'm not sure waiting an extra month or two will help. In 7 months it will heal as good as it's gonna heal, but like the doc said it's no guarantee it won't open more easily.

Lol when its Pacquiao nobody is ducking , Pacquiao is ducking Mayweather and you need to accept it :

                      1.Pacquiao is afraid of needles

                      2.Blood tests make Pacquiao weak

3.$10 million penalty per pound overweight

                      4.I want 8 oz gloves

                      5.I choose the ring size

6.Floyd Mayweather wants too much money

7.Floyd Mayweather is not serious he doesnt want to fight

8.We dont want to fight at the MGM Grand

                      9. I need a 17 day cutoff.

                      10. Let the Commission do their job

                      11. We don't trust USADA

                      12. 50/50 split won't get it done even though Mayweather consistently beats me in terms of generating revenue. Yes, Pacquiao recently said he wants more than 50/50.

                      13. Mayweather may not be available due to his cases.

                      14. Floyd Mayweather SR. said we couldn't train in the Philippines so that tells us they aren't serious.

                      15. As long as we have a pending case against Mayweather, we obviously aren't going to fight.

                      16. We hate Golden Boy so we won't negotiate with them.

                      17. Mayweather didn't answer my online clock that counted down to zero.

                      18. We're not going to wait on Mayweather. That's why we sign our next opponent 3 days after our last fight in order to shut out an opportunity or window to start earnest discussions with the Mayweather camp.

                      19. I dont need Mayweather to enhance my career.

                      20. The Joshua Clottey fight days after the Mayweather negotiations broke down

                      21. Starting a false rumor , Mayweather is fighting Erik Morales .

                      22. Can't give blood cause of religious beliefs/superstitions

                      23. "Mayweather is naturally bigger than me so if i give blood i will be smaller than him."

                      24. No testing within 7 days of the fight

                      25. Mayweathers Vile Words May Affect Manny's Presidency

                      26. Pacquiao vs Marquez rematch in May 2012

                      27. Manny needs a tune-up fight

                      28. The fight might not happen May 5th because Pacquiao had a serious cut in his last fight
