Gatti vs. Leija

I searched the forum index and did not see another thread about this particular fight other than the one that is in that personal group (or whatever thats called) and as much as I appreciate the offer to join (and I do, very much ) I'm hesitant to join any specific group since we can only join one. So, I saw no reason not to start another thread on this, cause I'm eager to hear everyones opinion on this fight! Come one, come all, lets debate!
I say Gatti, all the way. If his hand doesnt end up giving him trouble and/or he doesnt get cut in the wrong place at the right time, I can see him winning this one fairly easy. JJL is a good fighter, but I think he lacks the heart, determination (among other things) that Gatti has thru and thru

Leija was destined to lose against Bojado, but he dug deep and pulled it off convincingly and actually boxed the boxer in Bojado. Gatti has trouble with boxers if Leija boxers im going with Leija, If Leija gets anxious and starts trading with Gatti then im going with Gatti. I think the war will happen and Gatti will be the bigger man with a 7 round t(ko), but wouldnt be surprised either way.

Very good point! I know Buddy likes Gatti to box instead of brawl, but if Jesse pushes it then we all know his old nature will kick in! THAT will be exciting! And borikua youre right about Cotto, with him on the undercard its definately a night of boxing not to be missed!! I for one am very excited and can hardly wait on this fight!

The undercard is better then the main event.

Tracy-All Gatti has to do is use his size and he could still win without brawling, but Gatti isnt one to do that...We will see a blood bath, both fighters are paper faced ring war vets.

Your right Spinks the undercard is the "real main event". Ouma vs Jantuah is a hell of a fight. I cant wait for that.

As far as Gatti/Leija goes. I see Leija not only winning, but winning pretty easily. Gatti when its all said and done is really not that good. Gatti has struggled badly with guys like Hutchinson, Branco and Ward and Leija is much much better than any of those guys.

Gatti has lost everytime he has stepped up in class and I see this as being no different.

Is he really that much bigger than Jesse? Either way, most likely Gatti will spend the post fight at the emergency room, yet again, over his hand or cuts
