Terrible year in that many of the marquee fights were controversial whereas the memorable ones were between unmarketed fighters that aren't growing the sport at the moment.

I'm in the middle on this one. I thought it was a good year for boxing because we got fights that we wanted. Most of the fights didn't come through but majority of them were fights we wanted. I'd lean more towards a good year because I want to see the big names fight each other. If it doesn't turn out good, well that's just the way it is.

Berto Ortiz, Cotto Margarito, Kirkland Angulo, Donaire Montiel, Martinez Williams, Froch Johnson, Salido Lopez,

Off the top, I can already name a bunch of memorable fights, so I say it was a good year.

Plus we got to see a megafight we thought would never happen- Haye VS Klitschko- even though it was disappointing. And Pacquiao helped propel boxing into the mainstream.

the general public would disagree, just obsessive boxing nerds are probably the ones that would agree with you

The way I see it, it isn't that simple. From top to bottom, this year had some good/great match-ups. Did all of them deliver? no, but it's rare to have an entire year of epic fights. This wasn't a great year, but I definitely enjoyed the highs. I can't honestly name all of the good fights, as there were THAT many.

Boxing been great all fights. I don't look at the end results...In between, the fights were good well except dawson vs hopkins. But, it didnt even get started.

Boxing is already in a bad way, Think of the amount of casual fans who tuned in to watch that fight and saw a complete robbery...

Just added to the stigma fans have, especially casual fans that "boxing is going to ****."
